PERSONALITY:

The most remarkable thing about Sorey is that he grew up away from humans. His entire life he has grown up surrounded by Seraphim. They are his family. Since that is the case, Sorey is kind naive. Until events of the game, Sorey's knowledge and experience with humans had been non-existent. This is why he is truly just a good person at heart. He is always, first and foremost, someone that has to help another in need. Sorey is not the type of person that can just sit there and allow something to happen if he can stop it. This is the reason why he first helps Alisha, despite his best friend's warnings about not associating with humans. Sorey and his kindness is another reason that he takes up the mantle of Shepard: he genuinely just wants to do something about the malevolence so that no one has to suffer any more. For him it's not necessarily about his duty as the Shepard but rather that's just who Sorey is.

Even with his enemies, Sorey would rather help them than put them down. Sorey wants to heal the world, not destroy people or Seraphim just because they've allowed themselves to be corrupted. In this sense, Sorey is also self-less and simply a pure-hearted guy. The entire time he's on his quest, he seeks to learn more and more about the Lord of Calamity. Once he does, Sorey makes the decision that instead of defeating him, he wants to help him. In the end he even sacrifices himself in order to heal the land. His ultimate dream is for humans and Seraphim to live side by side like they had in ages past. He will do what he can to see this dream through to the end.

Sorey trusts people almost immediately. Growing up as he does, Sorey's never really had a reason not to trust anyone at their word. That being said, Sorey can come across as awkward at times, not really having proper socialization skills. At one point he even has to go over a checklist to make sure that he is ready to talk to Alisha, the first human he's ever met. Sorey backs out of it, a little too nervous. Of course this means that Sorey isn't one to lie to others either. One always sort of knows where they stand with Sorey.

This doesn't always work out in his favor, of course. The fact is that Sorey can care so much that he takes on a huge burden. Sorey is not really prone to sharing some of these things either. For someone that can be open and honest, he isn't always honest with himself. Instead of seeing others hurting, he would rather shoulder it himself. Instead of a friend sacrificing their dream to help him, Sorey would push them away. He doesn't want to see others suffer so he would suffer it alone. In fact, he had at one point, when Alisha had been his Squire. Sorey would have rather have suffered the blindness instead of telling Alisha that she couldn't help him in their journey.

Sorey is also kind of reckless. Sometimes he jumps into a situation without fully thinking about it. That's how he really had become the Shepard in the first place. He hadn't really given a thought about everything that his new duty would require. Instead all he had thought about was protecting the people in the sanctuary at the time. He had brought a human into the home of the Seraphim just to help her out, despite the rules. Sorey kind of disobeys rules when it is convenient or when his heart is telling him to do the right thing. He jumps into situations without always getting the information that he needs.

On the other hand, Sorey is not at all stupid. In fact, he is actually really intelligent. He loves to explore ancient ruins and is completely obsessed with history. Sorey can geek out for hours when talking about history, ancient languages, and just ruins in general. He also knows the ancient language. Bouncing off of that, it means that Sorey is all about getting out and seeing new sights. When told that he needed to go out and see the world, Sorey didn't at all seem disappointed or daunted by the prospect. If anything he saw it as an opportunity. Sorey also has the potential to be very observant when he wants to be. Usually that is, again, about history and culture, but that can also translate to people to. He can also be reasoned with, despite how naive he is and how much he wants to help. Sorey can take other peoples' advice without getting really upset over it as long as he understands that it benefits everyone to do so.

Another trait about Sorey that comes out all too often: he prefers to focus on the positive things in life rather than the negative. He is just an over all dependable person. However he doesn't know when to stop either. Thus Sorey is very stubborn when it strikes him to be. If he doesn't agree with something he can sort of get stuck on that. When Sorey had made up his mind on something, then really no one can talk him out of it and he doesn't exactly consult others in those moments. He isn't someone that gives up either, which can lead him into getting himself hurt and pushing himself beyond what he can handle.

POWERS/ABILITIES:

Resonance: Spiritual Resonance is the ability to hear/see/interact with Seraphim. If one has a low resonance, they are invisible. Someone with low resonance might be able to hear them. Sorey, having grown up around Seraphim his entire life, has a very high resonance. As the Shepard, he can even allow people to at least hear Seraph through touch. He's like a medium.

Sword Skills: Sorey's main weapon is a sword. Since that is the case, he is talented with blades. Sorey is accustomed to combat, quick on his feet and pretty darn strong in his own right.

Artes: Named special attacks that Sorey can use. These are not linked to his abilities with the Seraphim. Martial Artes are stronger than basic attacks and some times have an elemental advantage attached to it. Hidden Artes are basically the final form all Artes take. They expend more energy, but the pay off is usually worth it.

Armatization: Using Lailah, Sorey can literally take on the Seraphm that she makes Sub Lords and fuse with them. He takes on a different appearance and can even use some of their Seraphic Artes to a certain extent. The element changes depends upon which Seraphim he fuses with. His weapon also changes since the Seraph also needs a vessel. Of course to those with low resonance, Sorey's appearance doesn't change at all. Anyone with a good amount of resonance will see Sorey's appearance and maybe even some of the Seraphic power he's using.

Seraphic Vessel: The Seraphim that have become Sub Lords can actually reside within Sorey. In fact, they have to periodically as he is their "pure vessel" and are somewhat reliant upon him in order to not be tainted by the malevolence.
